NBA veteran struck by car

NBA veteran G Chris Duhon was struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.  Reports indicate that Duhon and his brother in law were walking in a parking garage when the driver of a black lexus began to blow their horn at the two.  The driver eventually got out of his vehicle and words were exchanged between he and Duhon.  After the exchange, the driver returned to his vehicle and accelerated hitting Duhon in the process who landed on the hood of the car and hit his head on the front windshield.  Duhon, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, didn't remember the incident and was released from the hospital later that evening.

Duhon talks Howard

While speaking to the LA Times in a telephone interview, former Dwight Howard teammate Chris Duhon stated that Howard just wanted to please everyone during the Dwightmare saga.

"It was tough for him and it was wearing on him.....The thing about Dwight, he's a great guy. He wants to please everybody. He wants everybody to be happy. He doesn't anybody to think negative of him. It was a tough situation. At some time, you have to think about yourself and what you want to do. He had a tough time handling that, but at the end of the day, it wore on him......Now that he's settled and knows what he wants to do, it's a new start for him," Duhon said. "He's a great guy. Nobody should think anything negative of him."

Dwight Howard trade update

It's seeming more and more likely that Orlando Magic guard Chris Duhon will be a part of the Dwight Howard trade as well.  As it currently stands, the Orlando Magic will receive 3 protected picks in future  drafts but they may actually pick up a couple more picks bringing their total to 5.  Fan reaction has been swift with some stating that the Magic received nothing in the deal; that was the point here, a total deconstruction of the franchise as it currently stood with a huge opportunity to rebuild the franchise in 2014 when the Orlando will be around $20 million under the cap.  There will be loses but the future could be as bright as ever before for the Orlando Magic.
