Vet chooses China over Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers had scheduled a workout with veteran G John Lucas III.  The veteran has informed the franchise that he has pulled out of the audition and will instead sign a more lucrative deal in the Chinese Basketball Association.  Lucas III appeared in 42 games with the Utah Jazz last season and averaged 3.8 points and 1 assist per game.
