Kyrie Irving talks future

Cleveland Cavaliers G Kyrie Irving hasn't been interested in addressing his future with the Cavaliers with members of the media since reports came out earlier in the off-season that he wouldn't remain a Cavalier for must longer. Next summer Irving will be in position to earn a max contract extension similar to the one that Washington Wizards G John Wall signed only a week ago (5 years valued at $80 million). Recently when Irving was asked directly if he would sign a potential contract extension with the Cavs next summer and Irving responded with the following:
"I'm not really worried about that right now. Right now I'm focusing on the year ahead, my third year, then I'll worry about that in the summertime."
"Right now I'm a Cavalier. This is where I am. All that future stuff, I'm not really worried about," Irving said. "I'm living in the moment right now and I'm just trying to get better with the teammates I have now and make the playoffs for Cleveland. That's the only thing I can do right now is give it my all as it stands right now and that future stuff, I'm not really worried about it."
That was a subtle -- fuck no I won't be here in the future...
ReplyDeleteHere they go again. It must suck to be a clevland fan. I wonder if his " decision " will be done like le Bums.
ReplyDeleteU got to be a true dumb ass or just a dumb ass haters to still Call this man le bum. Yall are more bitter than a woman when u leave them for a finer bitch. Move on find another man!! Any way nobody wants to play for Cleveland. Kyrie & LB or just to big to be in that small market I mean LB wasted 8 years of being loyal to a these bums.
ReplyDeleteA 5 years is a long time to play for a team with a history of not piecing together the right players around a superstar. They're roster looks good now but there's still question marks with health and potential. They gotta have a better than expected season to keep this guy.
ReplyDeleteCavs need to do what it takes to keep this kid. Future mvp.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if well still see the kobe kyrie one on one. I was looking foward to that all year
ReplyDeleteBron n kyrie n 14 lets go!!!
ReplyDeletekyrie to the Knicks!!!
ReplyDeleteKyrie will stay if james comes to cavs but its likely that james will stay and kyrie will go to houston for a sign and trade for lin and asik
ReplyDelete^No way that's happening. If everyone stays where they're at, lakeshow gon throw forbes money to obtain Irving
ReplyDeleteIrving is not going to stay in a losing team which means he would try to sign with a championship team who would be timerwolves or rockets
