Smith gets green light

As if he really needed to hear this, Knicks guard/forward J.R. Smith has been given the green light by head coach Mike Woodson to shoot more.
“I was yelling at him to shoot the ball,” Woodson said. “Shooters are going to take some bad shots. That is just the nature of the game. I don’t mind that, as long as he is defending and doing the necessary things to help us win. Offensively, I have to help him because is so talented in terms of being able to create a shot and make shots himself.”
