Knicks to re-sign Smith?

J.R. Smith opted out of his contract yesterday and he will be a free agent on July 1st, however his first choice is to remain with the Knicks. Some may ask, "Why opt out just to re-sign?". By opting out and re-signing with the Knicks, Smith will earn a salary boost of 20%.
knicks cant sign nobody because of amare, melo, and tyson...i doubt it if the knicks goin sign smith... on the other hand jeffries, Lin, fields, novak, and nash all wanna be knicks but doubt half will even stay with the knicks because of cap space.
ReplyDeleteThere going 2 b able 2 resign lin & novak they already said that. Why do they want j.r. Back n n.y.? Hes just not a smart player and he steals shots from melo and amare. Thats just gonna lead 2 more confusion and sloppy play. Ive been sayin knicks front office dont have a clue! They throw money at anybody that wats 2 b n a knick uniform wit no regard 4 chemistry and the fact that melo let the knicks bring n smith makes me wonder if melo knows the game or does he want 2 win or just play wit his friends get his stats and go home? I mean the chinese team that j.r smith played 4 said the dude missed 80 practices! Practice!? I bet george karl wouldnt have him back either.
ReplyDeleteU c phil jackson said he would not coach that team anyway. Because they r not built rite and anybody who knows tha game can c that. Just setting woodson up for the fall because next year when the knicks r a 7 or 8 seed again and getting there ass kicked n the playoffs again he will b the blame. Just think they gave the nuggets 4 role players who can start n the nba for melo just because he wanted 2 b a knick and get his max deal b4 lockout. when they couldve kept sum of those guys and made melo wait until the offseason or they could have got d will. Who would have a been a better fit wit d'antoni system and amare.
DeleteAll three comments are right on the money. But honestly I think Melo is the problem. He's a great player but the way he communicates with the team is not good. And the chemistry is just not there.
