Watson to retire

13 year veteran G Earl Watson has decided to retire as a player and move into a new role.  Watson, 35, will accept a coaching position with the Austin Toros of the NBDL.  For his career he averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists. He played for Seattle, Memphis, Denver, Oklahoma City, Indiana, Utah and Portland.

Watson signs with Portland

Veteran G Earl Watson has agreed to play for the Portland Trail Blazers.  Watson has agreed to a 1 year deal valued at $1.4 million.

Jazz guard out indefinitely

Utah Jazz guard Earl Watson has a torn medial meniscus in his right knee and a timetable for his return will be revealed after surgery.
