Scalabrine says no
Recently retired Brian Scalabrine has turned down an offer from the Chicago Bulls to become an assistant coach. Scalabrine has elected to join Comcast Sports Net New England as a color analyst and will cover 11 Boston Celtics games this upcoming season.
"It was a great opportunity and turning it down was really hard," Scalabrine said. "I think I would've done well in the role Thibs and I talked about. Telling Thibs no for now was really tough but broadcasting is a better choice for my family and it allows me to stay in the game and analyze the game while still allowing time away from it. Broadcasting opportunities like this don't come around often. It's going to be a fun trial run for both sides."

Scalabrine finds work?
Reports have indicated that veteran Brian Scalabrine is close to being hired by the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach. Scalabrine had wanted to continue to play in the NBA but it seems as if there was no interest from NBA franchises to bring him aboard as a player. During his 9 year career, Scalabrine has played for the Celtics, Nets, and Bulls.
