Bogans talks Nets

Former Net Keith Bogans is happy to now be a Boston Celtics but reflected a bit when he was introduced.  Bogans feels going forward that the Nets will be fun to watch but may face "ego" problems.

“It’s a great group,” Keith Bogans said. “It’s a great group on paper. But they put a great group together in L.A. last year. ... It’s going to be fun to watch......I think they definitely have more depth,” Bogans said. “But can they make it work? That’s the question. It seems like they really have no role players on that team. They have all superstars. ... That’s going to be the problem. They’ve put five [star] guys on the floor ... too many egos, too much testosterone. It could be a major problem.”

“I think it can work,” Bogans said. “If everybody is on the same page, which I think Kevin and Paul [are]. A lot of those guys will listen to them, because they’re older and have accomplished more. [Coach Jason] Kidd can [change the culture], but ultimately it’s going to have to be [Garnett] and Pierce.....They’re going to have the most influence of those guys. They know how to play, they know how to win, and they have to get guys to do it.”

Bogans talks Bulls

It was almost two seasons ago when the Chicago Bulls cut veteran G Keith Bogans during training camp. It was no secret that he felt disrespected by the cut and now his Brooklyn Nets are preparing to take on the Bulls this weekend during the 1st round of the playoffs.

"That drives me every day," Bogans said. "I let the past be the past but and it's not personal, it's business. (But) it's still a motivator for me. Even though I left the way I left, I still fought through an injury last year and I'm back in the playoffs this year."

Keith Bogans felt disrespected by Bulls

After playing in all 82 games last year for the Chicago Bulls, the Bulls decided to cut Keith Bogans on December 16th 2011 and he'll never forget.

"When I walked in the gym and they told me I wasn't practicing after they had seen me all week since Monday, that was kind of a slap in the face," Bogans said. "I've been through a lot in this league but nothing like that. It definitely made me a better man, a better person and a better basketball person....I put everything on the line each night. I played with a hurt knee 82 games. I took a pill 82 games to get that (release) in return. Every time I play them for the rest of my career, it will give me something added."
