Due to having a sore left ankle, the Minnesota Timberwolves have decided that G Ricky Rubio will not play for the remainder of the NBA season.  The ankle which was originally injured on November 7th has only allowed Rubio to appear in 22 games for the season.  In limited action was able to average 10.3 points and 8.8 assists (career high) per game.

“He’s just got soreness in that ankle,” Flip Saunders said. “So they want to rest [it], take care of it. There is no use of him playing. We thought, with what we were doing, that he would get relief. And he’s not getting relief. So we want to make sure there is nothing else happening in there.”
