Matthews set for surgery

Portland Trail Blazers G Wesley Matthews will undergo surgery to repair his torn left achilies tendon Wednesday.  The recovery time is usually 8 months but Matthews could miss a full NBA season.  Before suffering the injury last Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks Matthews had averaged 15.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
