Pacers set to sign Mekel....Updated

The backcourt of the Indiana Pacers was devastated with injuries to George Hill and C.J. Watson. The franchise has turned its attention to G Gal Mekel who was recently waived by the Dallas Mavericks.  Last year for the franchise Mekel averaged 2.4 points and 2 assists per game. 

Update:  

Because of a procedural delay in securing a new visa for a foreign player, the Pacers' plan to sign PG Gal Mekel has been thrown into jeopardy. The franchise flew Mekel to Boston yesterday in anticipation of signing him today because their waiver from NBA to sign 16th player expires today which may force the Pacers to sign another player.
