Q&A: Cartier Martin

Q. How would you sum up the season for you personally and for the team?
A. For the team, it’s been a great year. I think Coach (Mike Budenholzer) and others have said we are a resilient group all year. A lot of guys have played well. For me, it’s been a little shaky year, on and off. I have enjoyed my time here in Atlanta and hopefully I’m back. We’ll see what goes on this summer.
Q. You are an unrestricted free agent. Did they tell you they would like you back?
A. They said they like me. We’ll see how everything goes over the summer. I’ll be in Houston working out with my family. We’ll see how it goes from there.
Q. How beneficial was it that with all the injuries a lot of guys got opportunities to play?
A. A lot of guys had to step up because of the injuries that we had on the team. But I think everybody who stepped in played a big key in helping us get to the playoffs and be a successful team.
