Kerr verbally committed to Knicks

While speaking to the media Phil Jackson stated that Steve Kerr verbally committed to signing with the New York Knicks just one day before deciding to sign with the Golden State Warriors.  Jackson went as far as even telling Carmelo Anthony that Kerr would be the coach of the franchise. At this point in time Jackson is still interested in interviewing candidates in the college coaching ranks but also has Derek Fisher in mind as a potential candidate.  It's been suggested for Jackson to coach for one season to mentor a young coach but he isn't interested in that sighting health.
