When the NBA season began the Brooklyn Nets had high expectations due to a talented but aging roster and it was consensus that they could challenge the Miami Heat. Despite being 3-0 against the Heat this season, the Nets got off to a rough start but have caught fire as of late. Veteran F Paul Piece recently indicated that the Nets can match up with anyone in the league.
“Nobody is talking about us, but we feel like we match up with anybody in the league, especially in the Eastern Conference,” Pierce said. “Let the chips fall where they may.
“Come playoff time, we feel we can compete with the best of them, and we feel like we can be one of the better teams in the East, if not come out of the East, and we’ll be able to surprise a couple of teams.”
