Chris Webber calls out Gasol

Los Angeles Lakers F/C Pau Gasol considers himself to be one of the best big men in the NBA but last night that wasn't evident as he finished last night with 10 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Turner Sports' Chris Webber, who at one time was considered one of the most versatile big men to ever play the game, took to Twitter last evening to call out Gasol.
No he's not a elite player- elite players get- Buckets-assist -rebounds 10 pts- 8 Rebs- no offensive boards- you are not a elite big man!

C Webb is right about tha game last night but for the most part gasol has been very aggressive so far and looked like the old gasol. Kupchak gonna have to get him some more help up front tho cause he's not gonna b able to handle the banging everynite....I would start hill and give him more minutes but not d' antoni
ReplyDeleteIts still too early to know if he can get back to that elite level he's gotten off to a decent start if u ask me
ReplyDeleteGasol is soft hands down. No athleticism, doesnt contest shots of his feet only with his hands straight up and feet a foot of the floor. Shoots to many midrange shots and if im right seen him shooting from three which is ridiculous. Hes like chris bosh skilled but dont really want the physical contact. Hes more of a finesse player. He would not have won back to back titles if it wernt for KOBE. He bought into the killer instinct KOBE speaks about to win ships in la. I wouldve been traded him hands down. I wouldve took chances with j smoove...And this is coming from an angry LA FAN. I read all PREACHES COMMENTS but they should have got cp3. And to laker fans...
DeleteDont think david stern stopped that trade. KOBE DID... THE MAMBA is not going to let someone else tell him where to be on the floor or when he gets the rock or when to take shots etc. Cp3 is a bonifide leader with very little playoff experience and no rings. But a hell of a PG. He wouldve help keep the championship legacy in la. But kobe wasnt buying in so he stopped that trade trust me. Then they go get someone thatll cater to kobe. Steve nash and we all see how thats working. Smh! So from a laker fan I believe they are done. Unless they get lucky and Carmelo comes to la just a thought or even westbrook or kd cause if shit goes sour in okc you better believe there will be changes. And when kobes done la will be a wide open market. And remember kobe is the higest paid player in the nba as I speak. So what superstar wouldnt want 30 mill a season huh!
If okc doesnt win titles before westbrook and durant contracts are up. There is a good chance westbrook will team up with k.love in la since they are good friends. And kd will make his way to houston after the lin/asil contracts are gone.
DeleteI don't disagree when u say Kobe and cp3 wouldn't get along, strong possibility. But if Kobe had that type of power Odom would still b a laker and b. Shaw would b the coach
DeleteOk bill simmons^^^ everyone is posive love and durant are teamin up now in la in a season or 2 and durant is Houston bound , were talkin bout same guy thats 1 magic johnson aids joke away from being fired!**!
ReplyDeleteThis was a jalen rose prediction , not bill. And they just let magic and wilbon walk. Im pretty sure they are looking at bill to be the new face of espn basketball, instead of firing him.
DeleteIm pretty sure their not ggona let the guy who looks like he stares at u when u sleep/ with the creepy gaze be the face of espn bball haha
