NBA to change Finals format?

The NBA has used the 2-3-2 NBA Finals format since 1985 while using the 2-2-1-1-1 format in the prior rounds.  Reports now show that the NBA may consider changing the finals to adopt the 2-2-1-1-1 format as soon as the 2014 Finals.  A decision is expected to be made during a board of directors meeting in October.
