Oden talks joining Heat

It was rumored all season that the Miami Heat were the preferred landing spot for free agent C Greg Oden and recently he spoke of what it would mean to play for the 2 time defending world champions.
"Obviously the chance to play with the best player in the world and compete for a championship was a big selling point," Oden said. "But more than that, what I really liked was how they thought I could really add something to their team. They’ve won back-to-back championships without me, so for them to pursue me as hard as they did meant a lot, especially given all that I’ve gone through."
"The past six years have been tough for me," Oden said, "but there’s nothing I can do about it now. The past is the past. All I’m focused on is right now. And right now I feel great and I’m looking forward to playing again.....There’s a lot to be excited about in joining the NBA champions, getting to play with some great players, and living in Miami. But honestly, the thing I’m most excited about is just being able to play basketball again. It’s been a long and challenging road back, so just having the chance to play the game I love again has me more excited than anything else.”

Well i guess its time for a three peat. Got a solid center. Nd reports say hes more healthy now than ever. Bosh can play his normal position at the 4 and haslem nd birdman can cum off the bench with energy. I see a good season ahead for the heat pacers bulls warriors
ReplyDeleteno way is he starting for the heat. and if he does his minutes will be limited probably maxing out at 20 minutes per game.
ReplyDeleteas expected he ll go just for ring n can finish career just like eddy curry.
ReplyDeleteMan im startin to hate the nba dont nobody want to play basketball no more everybody want to be lazy people dont want to earn they ring
ReplyDeleteYa cause greg oden totally could have went to a small market team and averaged 25 and 12 to get them a ring. Get real you moron. Who would join a losing team to come off the bench for if they had a choice. Plus miami is a nice place to live.
Delete3peat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U ol hatin ass niggas
ReplyDeletethe real reason why he joined the heat is oden knows hes not going to be an all star anymore, hes being realistic and dosent want to be a total bust, he still wants to make something of himself even if it is just a role player; you can just tell by the way he speaks of the whole affair
ReplyDeleteYes and people dont understand a game is not even half of the time you spend with your team. The vibe and morale of a winning team is so much greater on and off the court. If your on the bench you want to be chilling with the happy winners.
