Washington Wizards G John Wall is slated to earn a little more than $7 million during this upcoming NBA season which is the last year of his rookie contract. Wall and the Wizards have begun negotiating a max extension that would lock Wall up for an additional 5 years if agreed upon. If no extension is reached by season's end, Wall will become and un-restricted free agent.
Damn that's crazy u got a player that's that good & u only have to pay him 7mil. Now that's a steal. That rookie contract really fucks it up for the ones that really deserve the money.
ReplyDeletepaul george and cousins r n the same boat but the rookie contracts make sense. would u rather see guys get garunteed 30, 40 mill outa college and end up being a bust?
Deleteand credit to wall for staying with the team that drafted him. i think they will challenge for a playoff spot this year
Tru...I do not want to see Thomas Robinson riding around any nice whips lol
DeleteYeah I know the contract make sense I was just saying for players like Wall they deserve it, but they have to suffer for the garbage players.
ReplyDeleteWall will b a knick nex season... U heard it 1st
ReplyDeletePlayers are taking less money to play in better markets and with players they like or feel can help them win..If Walls stays he will never win a chip but if he goes to lets say the Lakers with all that cap space they will have in 2014 he will be on tv more and possible more endorsements..
ReplyDeleteYa john wall needs to move himself. Seems like big names would rather move to cleveland to play with irving. And if not that bostons doors just opened up big time to play with rondo in a bigger market. No big names are joining wall. If he doesnt want to miss the playoffs another 5 years, he shoulnt sign that.
