Pistons hire coach

The Detroit Piston have named Maurice Cheeks as their 29th head coach.  During previous stops in Portland and Philadelphia, Cheeks complied a coaching record of 284-286 across 9 NBA seasons.  Cheeks deal with the Pistons is for 3 years with a team option for year 4.
