Shaquille O'Neal was recently asked if the Lakers will win a championship before Kobe Bryant retires and O'Neal responded with the following:
"I hope they will, but I'm a big-man guy," O'Neal said. "The other guy needs to step into his own."
O'Neal was also asked why he thinks Dwight Howard needs to average 28 and 10
"That's the number that was thrown in my face, 28 and 10, so that's the number I'm always going to throw in his face," O'Neal said.

he should average 28 and 10 because he is the only person in the league that is capable at his position
ReplyDeleteKeep talkin that shit shaq. Its gonna get thru 1 way or another. Next year d12 should avg 26, 14, 3 on his way to his first mvp...bet that!
ReplyDeleteD12 is still one of my favorite players but I can't stand Kobe so I route for D12 not the Lakers. A healthy Dwight with shooters is a beast. MVP is a stretch bc the NBA wants KD to get one.
DeleteThat's the key to his success in Orlando 1-4 were shooters so he could just move any body in the paint 1 on 1 and get rebounds off their Misses in all actuality he can't be stopped one on one when under the basket they have to give him more space
DeleteYou sound so stupid. Howard will NEVER avg more than 20pts with Kobe still being a laker. & with his garbage free throw shooting he will never avg 25 he had a chance in Orlando & the best he did was 22
DeleteDJMC
The best he did n orlando was 25 smart guy.
DeleteCheck the stats. And Letty me kno which year he did it in. Don't worry I'll wait....................
DeleteSmart guy
DJMC
U lakers fans are out of ur mind if u think that Dwight is coming back.
ReplyDeleteI dont think he wanna take another hit to his image and thats exactly wats gonna happen if he walks away from a winning franchise with a legacy of great big men like the lakers. Honestly right now the best fit for him is n houston considering there style of play but i know kupchak gonna make the necessary roster moves to please d12 and if he does leave then we still got the $$ to spend.....we will b ok.
DeleteI think D12 is childish enough to believe your reasons he will stay. I also agree that Houston isva much better fit
DeleteOnly way he will stay is if they can guarantee him Kobe is gone after next year.
ReplyDeleteIf you just look at the physical advantage that Dwight has over every other center in the league, there's no way he shouldn't be putting up those kinds of numbers.
ReplyDeleteHe can't get those numbers because Kobe won't let him. Kobe is just not going to pass the torch & D12 knows that, that's y I say he will leave.
Delete^^^Just kobe hate. Smdh
DeleteThat's a good point.
ReplyDeleteI dont c why d12 cant get those numbers playin with kobe, shaq did. All it takes is a coach and a system thats going to force it on them, along with better post moves from howard. Kobe is gonna get his no matter the system or coach or who's on his team
ReplyDeleteShaq got those numbers because he was the man there @ that time Kobe wasn't,& when Kobe said ok im ready to be the man now it went down hill for the two.
DeleteKobe was doing his numbers the whole time fool! Especially after they got that first ship.
DeleteI didn't say that dumb ass I said Shaq was the man then when Kobe wanted all the fame & glory it went down hill. Get it right fuck boy.
DeleteShit dont even make sense. Can tell u aint been watchin ball long. Hell shaq's last great year was his last year n la, they probably would not won 3 if kobe didnt step his game up. Shit went downhill cause there time was up....plain and simple jackass
DeleteDamn u dumb! U just prove one of my points. U ain't worth fussing with.
DeleteD12 will stay because of the league theres no way there going to have the lakers a huge dynasty and market be terrible without a star, the league will make it happen nether the less what dwight wants
ReplyDeleteSmh. Terrible. Kobe doesn't want to pass the torch. The man has come out numerous times n said he done within next to seasons. Kobe don't wanna pass the torch he wants d12 to take it. Can't just give it to nigga if he don't want it. N of course d12 gonna stay he ain't gonna get the kinda of money la can give him. By time kobe retire he will make d12 a better player. Have no doubt about it
ReplyDeleteDWH will stay doesnt fit any where else. Plus hes good there for marketing purposes When KB leaves hell have to pass the torch bro. They will build around DWH. If you are a true laker fan you know they dont really fuck wit the draft. So if some of those top ten thru fifteen players cant get it done where they are they will come to LA to play wit DWH. PLUS NO KOBE THEY WILL COME.... EXT COUPLE YEARS YOU MAY SEE KD IN LA IF OKC CANT GET IT DONE. JUST A THOUGHT. And Shaq is very correct he should average that if not more....!
ReplyDeleteThe point I was making was that he wants to pass the torch n that's clear by his retirement talk. But at the same time he's just not gonna give it to d12 if he doesn't want it. Yea it will eventually b passed but he wants d12 to want it not just receive it by default. D12 wud fit on any team n a market will follow him where ever he goes. La can just pay him more then anyone else so that's a big reason why he wud stay. N idk if he can live up to those shaq numbers. He just doesn't have a great offensive feel for the game. No go to move no finese no offensive repertoire
ReplyDeleteI agree with wat u sayin about his offensive game but he did avg 25 one year n orlando. I think when hes fully healthy he can avg that again just by running the floor and getting position under the rim and off rebounding. Hes already said hes gonna work with hakeem again this summer
