The Boston Celtics are currently the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference and two games ahead of of the Milwaukee Bucks who are the 8th seed. Recently Doc Rivers spoke with WEEI about avoiding falling to the 8th seed and having to face the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.
"I know we’re in the seventh spot. I know we want to stay out of the eighth spot....But if we play them (Heat), we’ll be ready. But of course we would. Listen, I’m not that dumb. I’m not the brightest guy but come on. Really, you would love to avoid anyone [like Miami]. Listen, no matter who we play, we’re going to play a tough team. It’s going to be New York, Indiana or Miami. There’s no cakewalk for us. It’s going to be hard.’

ReplyDeleteI think coach pop is the best but doc is right there with him....just my opinion
DeleteBetter Than Phil N My Opinion. Can Do More With Less And His Plays Comin Out Of Timeouts R Legendary. But Boston Might As Well fall To 8th I Think Thats The There Best Shot To Take Mia N FirsT Round. This Playoff Run Could B A True Test FOr Mia Too Depending On How The Seeding Plays Out.
ReplyDeleteDoc Rivers is one of the best coaches in today's NBA...I understand his message to his team but he really DON'T wanna play Miami in the first round...
