Legendary NBA coach and former New York Knick Phil Jackson returned to Madison Square Garden last evening to be apart of a special halftime ceremony.  The franchise honored members of its 1973 team, the last Knicks team to win an NBA Championship.  Phil Jackson spoke briefly about the rise of this season's Knicks.

“They’re a good team. I think they’ve come a long way in, what, the last two-and-a-half weeks? They’ve put together some games, and they’re starting to make a run,” Jackson said. “It’s the right time of the year to get healthy. They’ve got some injuries, whatever, but they’ve kind of survived it.

“And they’re going to challenge. I think they’re going to challenge. There’s a hope in this town that maybe they can surprise some people and win this year.”
