Pacers' George Hill speaks about lack of fan support

It was a game that the Indiana Pacers was supposed to win. A game at home, a gimpy Kobe and a better record. Bryant played 12 scoreless minutes until becoming human again and sitting out the rest of the game but the Lakers had plenty of support on and off the bench in Indianapolis Friday night. Upset, Indianapolis native George Hill could be heard loudly in the locker room stating the following after the loss:
“Somebody has to say something...It sucks,” Hill said. “It was 70-30 out there (in favor of Lakers fans). These are the same people that want autographs. ... We’re out there in the community doing what we’re supposed to do on and off the court. Something has to change. ... It shouldn’t feel like an away game, especially with an important game like this. That’s what it felt like.”

“They always say your fans are your sixth man and you feed off that energy. Energy is down and we turn the ball over and we’re hearing cheers. We’re missing shots and we’re hearing cheers. That kind of brings your head down cause you know you’re at home. It shouldn’t be like that. Now we see how it is. We have to move forward, don’t worry about. Stay focus on what’s in this locker room and don’t worry about the rest.”
“(We’re) not a team that’s in the bottom in the East. We’re one of the top three teams in the East. We’re winning the Central Division and it should show. Right now it’s not and it’s been all season long where it’s not showing and I don’t think there’s nothing else we can do as an organization and as players. Now it’s up to the community.”
Lmao! Cant escape laker nation bruh, and im surprised to here hill crying about it. He strikes me as a guy who dont give a fuck but then again it is his hometown. On the flip side i think thats the best win of the season for my lakers. No kobe, and we get revenge on a team that embarrassed us at home earlier n the season. Shows how much the lakers r coming together, chemistry wise and on defense. And i said b4 season started...March is gonna b the month we put it together.
ReplyDeleteDis nigga preach..... try winning 21 in a row no team has a chance against king james MiA... Denver & okc waitin to X yall boys out in 6 games
ReplyDeleteReally? All the laker players have playoff experience and that's what's really needed I mean like preach said we got our chemistry good now..go back under your rock you troll lakers going hard even when we lose at first..
DeleteGive mia all the respect and credit n the world on this app and still sum weak heat fan finds sum way to hate on the lakers smh. Niggas on a 21 game win streak and still worried bout the lakers? So weak. And i dont know how anybody can say who we gonna get eliminated by n the playoffs when u or nobody else really has seen wat the lakers look like healthy and playing together yet this season.
Deletemiami all the way fuck the lakers
ReplyDeleteI was at the game last night cheering on my lakers. Hills wrong. It was more like 80/20 lakernation!!!
ReplyDeleteNBA sucks. So predictable. Lebron will win da next couple of championships. They should gather great players from da rest of teams to face da Heat. Atleast we have college basketball for a month.
ReplyDeleteThe nature of the business these days which is sad. Remembering how rabid pacer fans were in the 90's made it a hard place to get a W. But when a team that they only see once at Indiana boasts Howard, Nash and an injured but still present Bryant and Gasol its hard for fans not to be excited.
