While speaking to the media in Houston, NBA Commissioner David Stern addressed the Royce White/Houston Rockets situation and mental illness in the NBA.
“Of course it’s not. We’ve been dealing with this situation for years,” Stern said. “Does anybody remember (Metta World Peace, the former Ron Artest) thanking his therapist at the Finals when the (2010 Lakers) won the championship? Dealing with mental health issues or problems as part of our player programs’ agenda goes back, well, two decades.”
“This is not the first situation where mental health issues have surfaced and our teams and our professional help and the league have dealt with it,” he said. “We tend to deal with it in a quieter fashion than this one played out, as you might imagine, just because medical issues of any kind are usually kept in a more private way, not to hide anything but to protect the patient’s rights.”

Guess stupidity and being a baby are now a mental illness. ..
