Q: You grew up playing with Charlotte Bobcats' Gerald Henderson in high school. What's your relationship with him like now?
A: We're still best friends. We talk most every day. We have a really good relationship and it makes everything easier when you've got a best friend whose going through the same things as you since you really started being on the basketball scene. We were 15 when we met.
Q: You're from Philadelphia.
A: I think that's just the nature of the game in Philly -- we play the game hard, all the time. Anytime you're on the floor, you always go hard. It's just how I learned basketball.
Q: You did track in high school -- long jump, high jump and triple jump. What drew you to that?
A: I did all jumping, I didn't do any running. I don't know what my vertical is now. Gerald and me did that, kinda just to hang out. The track coach was on us to come out and do it, so we did. We won a lot of events, though.
Q: I saw a story that said your parents moved down to North Carolina when you were in school there. What was that like? Are they still there?
A: My mom and my sisters and my nieces are still down there. They love it down there. They come to the game when we play Charlotte. I always go back down there in summertime anyway, it's always good to go down there and see them and go to the school and see all the guys.
Q: Do you still take the North Carolina-Duke trash-talking up to this level? Do you have any with Kyrie Irving and Henderson?
A: Of course. Absolutely. I'm 6-1 against Duke, so they don't really have much to say to me. Except for when they beat us in recent games now. We always talk trash. That's just the nature of the rivalry.
