Any suggestions on the new coach? I hear they thinkin jerry sloan. Cant see nash n the triangle so i dont know about phil. Wat u guys think about d'antoni?? I know it sounds crazy but they can bring showtime back
ReplyDeleteD'antoni would be the most logical choice to boost their offence but his style of coaching has never been known for great defence so you will be in a shootout most nites with run and gun teams like nuggets etc...maybe the guy who should of got the gig in the first place brian Shaw but u would think he would be a triangle offence guy..jerry sloan u would for sure think the pick n roll would be in his game plan and surely would get a lot out of Steve Nash running things...but as a real problem this team has showed is its lack if ability to get stops and get out and run,not even get out and atleast push the ball to the top of the key in semi fastbreaks to atleast scope out easy baskets..mo Williams for the jazz showed yous how to do it against yous the othernight,its basic basketball 101 on easy scores...but mike Brown gone or not the Lakers have still got that lacklustre bench to call on,maybe a head rolling will put players themselves on notice cause they need something to get these $100m duds going!

ReplyDeleteU dont think kobe isnt putting fire under his teammates? These guys old and they no there time is limited so i dont think thats the problem. I know our bench isnt the strongest but brown wasnt even given them the chance because the bench players had trouble pickin up the offense as well as the starters. Like i said brown was n over his head, tryin to do to much. U got great veteran players and u tryin to get them to run this complexed bullshit??? When u should just simplifly things and let them b themselves that way they wont think so much about wat they doing on offense and have more focus on defense. No its not fair to brown but he never was the right guy to begin with. U dont replace phil jackson with lebrons assistant/ defensive coridinator...that just aint right. I think d'antoni is the guy he gonna let the players do wat they best on offense and still keep everybody involved. I know his teams havent played good d but its a team full of vets they know they need d to win. DeleteIts pathetic when the lakers have so much talent dwight, kobe, nashty, gasol etc. And they cant even beat teams who barely have talents. Difference is other teams are playing as a team. But kobe is all about his points and when they win he takes all the credit, but when they loose its everyone else fault except his. ReplyDeleteI believe that they should hire D'Antonie. Hes coach Nash and a great center and PF (Shaq,Amare) coaches a more fastbreak uptempo laker offense, and one of the most important things... He knows the west and now knows the east and lastly he knows how to coach a big city team with big expectations (NYK and PHO) but of course although its not very likely to happen having Phil back would obviously be the best choice but realisticlly D'Antonie

ReplyDeleteMike brown is a good assistant but a horrible coach. He lacks motivation and drive to coach a team to victory. Look at his career great coaches win with less talent than he has been blessed with.

ReplyDeleteShaw would've worked. He was under Phil and understood the system and the players. Right now the Lakers are plagued with injuries so all these haters that are counting them out and talking out their asses need to chill. The last 2 out of 3 times the Lakers started like this they made it to the finals and won 1 championship. The other was a loss in the finals to the 93 bulls and guess who was running that team. Lakers are notorious for slow starting seasons and then coming back in the second half of the season and dominating the opposition so everyone just chill. We have a long season to go and this is only the beginning.

DeleteBrown is a good coach if is disrespectful to call him an assistant I mean really c'mon son n yea maybe offense is a complex system but so is the triangle only difference is there's 3 guys on that team who already understand it but there's 12 other guys thats gotta learn it. With the injuries n new system I think Mb should've been given more time. N I ant think dantoni is the solution with this fast paced offense simply put u gotta look at your personnel this is a older veteran team n athletically like it or not I ant see them but running tion many other teams especially with that bench. I like Sloan or shaw, if not Phil.
