Jim Buss: No Problems with Mike Brown

The Los Angeles Lakers have never started a season 1-4 with Kobe Bryant on the team and the last time they got off to such a start was the 1993-94 NBA season. After the Lakers' loss last evening to the Utah Jazz, Kobe Bryant stormed off the court with a scowl on his face all the while not congratulating any Jazz players. Earlier yesterday, Jim Buss, son of Lakers majority owner Dr. Jerry Buss addressed the Lakers' coaching situation.
“I have no problems with Mike Brown at all,” Buss said. “He just works too hard and he’s too knowledgeable for this to be happening....So either the system is flawed or something’s going on. Or, like the Triangle, it’s very hard to pick up and understand. I’m not a basketball mind like he is or the players are, and the players are fine with it, so I just have to be patient.”
The Fakers sucks plain and simple...

DeleteThey got to get the feel of each other. When u got great players like that on one team somebody got to say u can take the lead & I will follow. Simple as that. They will be good in the end but no finals.

DeleteWe all know who's sayin I'm takin the lead, but if he has an off night, game over. One thing I do know is they cannot afford to be the 6th, 7th 8th seed in the playoffs, then they will have to play San Antone, OKC or a much improved Denver team in the first round. They have to start playin better now!
ReplyDeletePleasse, they gonna have to play 1 or 2 of them teams n the playoffs regardless. And i dont think home court advantage is that big of a deal when u got a team of veterans. U talkin bout wat seed there going to have, its way to early to say cause aint denver 1-3, thunder 2-2, s.a. got beat down by the clips lastnite even wost than my lakers, point is its to early. The heat got off to slow starts the past 2 seasons but atleast coach spo let the heat players play to there strengths. Mike brown is not letting the lakers do that! There all thinking to much, brown included about tryin to run this stupid offense and at the same time learning each others tendencies. Brown needs to just coach defense and when nash gets back just put the offense n his hands because thats the only way nash can b effective. And lakers bench is suspect but brown not putting them n positions to succeed neither. Playing jamison at the 3??? Not playin meeks at all??? The dude started games n philly last year...sometimes u just gotta let players do wat they do

DeleteI'm wit u, just sayin they dont want to have to climb out of a hole that's too deep. I forgot about the Clippers being in the mix. A lot of teams will be getting better with chemistry as well, not only LA. I see Denver being a pretty good team with that high flying offense this year. U might be right about Mike Brown, I thought he was a pretty good coach in Cleveland, but I guess he just had the best player makin him look good.

Everybody wants to beat the team with the most hype. People 4get its been tough for the lakers to get wins N utah and portland for years now. Last year we was up n down n the reg season but i think the team still got better n the offseason and the starters only played 1 preseason game together....its to early to say

DeleteThe Princeton offense won't work they have a fast break big man in d12 and a fast break pick n roll point guard they need to do what those players are good at and stop running this 1955 white boy high school bs they have 4 starters who can create and they aren't communicating on defense d12 back isn't fully healed he has no lift at all it comes and goes players are missing open jumpers no team will win that way no matter how much talent you have
