One may have heard the whispers that Rockets guard Jeremy Lin hasn't had the impact in this very young season that many were expecting after he was lured away from the New York Knicks. The Rockets acquiring guard James Harden also didn't help the fanfare for Lin-Sanity as Harden had a thunderous debut to begin his Rocket career. During an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Jeremy Lin spoke of the pressures of being an Asian American NBA player.
“I was a little surprised, but I wasn’t shocked. I honestly feel it’s part of the underlying issue of race in American society … of being an Asian-American. …I haven’t figured it out. I haven’t wrapped my head around it. But it’s something I’m thinking about....I’ve always been a target,” Lin says. “Everyone looks me and says, ‘I’m not going to let that Asian kid embarrass me. I’m going to go at him.’ That’s how it’s been my whole life. This has been different, though. Now, I was on the scouting report. People started to pay attention to what I could and couldn’t do....But a target? I was used to that. I’m not saying I get everyone’s best shot, but I would say people don’t want to be embarrassed by me because of my skin color.”

ReplyDeleteJust kill yourself..
DeleteLmfao what a douch. Best pg no where near. Lin is a twat going on about his skin colour for an excuse for him being shit.
DeleteI agree!
DeletePeople are stupid thinking he would be a franchise pg, I always says he is a solid back up pg. Way over rated and over paid.
ReplyDeletehes overpaid. As a talent and skilled pg aspect , the rocket signed him in my opinion as a business move. Lin is able to attract international attention because of of his ethnicity. I believe rockets arent in it to win. But in it for the money. Which also explains the trading of.james harden , other thqn beong than beong a great playwr, hes also a crowd pleaser and boost fan spirit with his.beard in a way. Both moves cost rockets a lot of mpney. But in fact both very good business moves
ReplyDeleteOverated, over paid, turns the ball over too much. Harden is way better than him and everyone knows it. Everyone knows thats hardens team.
ReplyDeleteJeremy Lin will be the best to ever play. watch out Michael, J-lin is coming for ya!
ReplyDeleteHa wot an Imbread
