Jackson talks Lakers

During a telephone interview with The Times yesterday afternoon, Phil Jackson stated that he wished the Lakers decision to pass on him and hire Mike D'Antoni would have been cleaner.
"I wish it would have been a little bit cleaner....It could have been much more circumspect and respectful of everybody that’s involved. It seemed slimy to be awoken with this kind of news. It’s just weird....I do think the Lakers have the personnel that could come out of the West," he said. "I don’t know if they have the mobility and agility to contend with the East. To call this a championship-bound team, that’s a misnomer. That’s one of the things where I had to think about with expectations and did I want to go through that again?"

Completely agree. Jim Buss Jerry Buss and Mitch cupcheck are all gonna pissed off when they decide to fire D'Antoni next year when he doesn't do what they expect, then have to shell out the rest of 8 million to coverr his contract and then also have to cover Mike Browns I didnt know we were taking adivce from houston! And to so strongly disrespect the greatest head coach in the game today is down right shameful. I understand that he had a laid back approach his last few years but I believe he was grooming Shaw to take over and become the next coach of the Lakers. That just goes to show you that Lakers are about to be the cowboys of the NBA! Sad.
ReplyDeleteNow phill turning on us wow....let's be real he had to have demanded some of the things that were leaked because why would the Lakers office basically say we want phill we're not even meeting with anyone else then all of a sudden change their mind it dosent add up.
