Ray Allen comes clean about leaving Boston

From WMEN in Miami (via SRI):
How did you deal with all the negativity of you leaving Boston because you chose to come here?
‘Well it was just really a shame because on one hand you could say so many great things about me as a player and my impact on the floor, and not only on the floor but off the floor, like we did so many great things in the community — not only as a team, but as individuals — and that was my community and I support it as much as I could. We had some foundation initiatives that we still continue to do, so that doesn’t change me. It was a business decision and the team put me in the position where we had to move. We had to go. Miami was a better choice for us based on what the team was doing, so it wasn’t, don’t boo me, boo the team in a sense. Now it’s out of my control. … When this contract situation came down, everybody in my circle — mom, family, brother, sister, friends from college, people who watched me since I was in high school and since I was in college — nobody wanted me to resign in that situation because they thought, ‘There [is] so much left in you and this team isn’t taking care of you or treating you right.’ That’s the way I felt and it was like, if you are going to come and not put out a good contract on the table then, hey, we gotta think about going somewhere else.’”

Wasnt treating u rite? He couldve made more money n Boston and Bradley aint a provin player as much as I like him so I think ray still wouldve had a shot at starting. And it sounds like his family and friends r a bunch of Dick ridin fans also, maybe they all just wanted to live n south beach. He not man enough to make his own decisions?
ReplyDeleteShut the fuck up bitch!! U mad he didn't come to LA.
DeleteLol id rather have Jason terry
DeleteYo family comes first dumb ass dude. U must don't give a fuck bout urs. He wasn't getting dat much in Boston anyways. U act like u was right by his side last year in Boston knowing his every move. Ain't no telling what else was goin on. Its his decision plus his fam. Besides Boston never gone get past the heat anyways in the playoffs.
DeleteDepends bitch. family just like friends can have they own personal motives when tryin to persuade u to make ya own decisions. Dont know if u a man thats worth shit to ya family and friends but if u were then u would know that shit like that can happen. Alot of x athletes BROKE because of listening to family and friends. When u grow up young fella u will understand.
Deletelisten up preach while I take you to school. riley promised ray he would never be traded. boston wouldn't. so besides more playing time and a increased role, riley gave ray allens family stabilty of knowing they wont be forced to move again, think ray gives a shit about money. please its about family n respect. when ray gets his second hell be laughing at critics like you
DeleteRespect. And not a critic im just going off wat I read up top but didnt know about the never b traded part so I can dig that.
DeleteEver since ray allen left milwaukee... the bucks fucken suck...im bout to go hop on the heat bandwagon now...or should i hop in the lakers bandwagon...hmmm? i think ima hop on both.

Word shit dont sound right. Unless his contract had other stipulations he didnt like beside dollars n cents. Cuz he def took a pay cut. Come on ray ray keep it a 100. Had nothing to do with money. U better then that. Smh. Terrible.
ReplyDeleteI loved watching Ray play, but if he wanted to go to Miami, that's his decision. He shouldn't blame the teams or what his family thought. Based on how Jason Terry is looking in the preseason, I hope Ray knows we miss him, but we aren't hurting without him. lol
ReplyDeleteBoston couldn't guarantee him that he wouldn't be traded they refused to grant him that wish so I'm guessing for him it was about stability n that's important especially when you have school age kids.
ReplyDeleteComing from a Celtic fanI will always remember Ray for the memorable moments he had! I wish him well this season but my C's taking them rings back!
ReplyDelete-Vlad
You gotta feel him tho cause kg and and pierce make like 21 mil he made 10
ReplyDeleteI feel him a little bit, but either way you look at it the Celtics offered him more money then the Heat, and on top of that they still were trying to keep the core of the team together to keep going after championships instead of blowing them up like they could have. All Danny and Doc were doing was trying to ensure financial flexibility to keep that team a contender.

Now he's like LBJ a SELLOUT AND A BITCH fuck him we don't need him Cs will beat the heat FUCK YOU RAY SELLOUT SELLOUT SELLOUT
ReplyDeleteAND THE LAKERS WILL THEN SWEEP THE CELTICS GAME OVER ONE DOWN 6 TO GO D12 N KOBE GREATEST DUO OF ALL TIME
DeleteHaha. Wow. If I didn't know any better, I would think this was an app for people to just talk junk to each other about their feelings. "Oh, I had a bad day. I need to vent on my NBA app and see what everyone thinks." We aren't women, talking about our feelings. We're talking basketball. If you're a Celtics fan, its cool to be upset that one of your great players left but suck that shit up and keep it moving. He's almost 40 years old, he's got wisdom far beyond most, if not all the people on here, he knows the in's and out's of the game both on and off the court. I'm sure he made the best decision for him and his family because that's really who matters at the end of the day. Not fans who are upset. All you're gonna do is whine about it and continue to watch the game we call basketball. It changes nothing. So my advice, keep updated on the NBA news and just that. All the "bitch" and "fuck you" and "sellout" junk, we can do without. Preciate it
ReplyDeleteLol tired of ya fellow heat fans makin the rest of yall true fans look bad huh? Because them the boys comin with all the fuck u,, bitch, and dumbass everytime somebody expresses there opinion on here. The rest is just a response.
DeleteHonestly you continue to make yourself look like a dumbass because you actually think people give a shit what you say...everytime someone says fuck you, bitch, or dumbass 95% of the time its directed towards you preach....if you actually made sense sometimes and stop fucking hatin you wouldn't get called out all the time and the app would be a lot better....there's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion but everytime you comment on a heat article its something negative quit hatin nigga and grow the fuck up
Deletethank u for makin my point for me. another heat fan name callin because he cant handle not only my opinion but the TRUTH. Cause im still waitin on ya crybaby ass to tell me wat I said wrong about Rashad Lewis??? U cant bitch cause wat I said was the truth! Negative or not. And ive defended Chalmers, josh harrelson, against sum of ya fellow heat fans, I didnt hear u cryin like a bitch then. I speak truth, negative or positive and the other crazy shit is just to piss little girls off llike yaself and if u cant handle it dont read faggot. I never c u comment until somebody says Something u dont like about ya team anyway! And like I said its always u talkin shit behind ya keyboard about preach and never nothin to refute wateva negative statement I said about ya team. Ima ask u again since u still crying about me on this app...WAT DID I SAY WRONG ABOUT LEWIS???
DeleteAnd its called freedom of speech bitch! aint no law against trashin the heat little girl so put on ya big girl pants and stop acting like a little bitch.
DeleteAnd if u dont give a fuck about wat I say then why u keep talkin shit about me?? Lol...
DeleteNigga I'm not about to read all that bullshit you just typed do something better with your time
Deletepreach first person to swear and name call in this topic. just look above me.... lol saying thx acting like u ain't the first person to start up that shit
DeleteYeah u read it bitch and u got the point thats why u got NO RESPONSE to tha truth as usual, im just glad u wasnt whinning this time. Thats right....let daddy help u grow up little girl
DeleteNah mhp was.the first nigga to call names and talk shit followed by dez and then this lilltle bitch whinning. Get off my dick
Deletenah "dick riding fans"
DeleteThis nigga on here arguing with himself lmao
DeleteFlash your absolutely right. I see this everyday and agree quit being bunch of kids and talk bball
ReplyDeleteThat's why I hardly say anything on here. I used to be on and comment a decent amount but not if this is what everybody is about. Its not because I'm scared or can't argue with the best of them but I downloaded this app to stay updated on basketball. I love basketball, not arguing and whining with everyone about it. To be honest, when I first got on, Preach used to piss me off, too but I realized that, for the most part, he knows what he's talking about. Or at least that's what I observed from the start. Now when I get on, it seems like he is saying things just to spark a response out of people. Idk if that's his sole intention but his comments seem a lot different from when he first started.
ReplyDeleteAgreed 100% flash.... i dont see any hoop talk on here recently, people just talking straight trash and every thread winds up being about the heat & the lakers (or, more accurately put, talking shit about the heat, lakers, fans, and their dick riders). Im getting so tired of all the bullshit posts.
DeleteBy the way, Ray Allen is going to do whats best for Ray Allen and his family. Stop hating on the dude.
