Does Lewis fit in with Heat?

Thus far this preseason NBA veteran Rashard Lewis has been unimpressive for the Miami Heat but the Heat nor Lewis are concerned.  The reality is that Lewis hasn't played meaningful NBA minutes in two seasons and both he and the Heat understands that becoming acclimated to a new system takes time.

"My goal is to continue to be out here every day so I can keep pushing forward instead of taking a step backward," Lewis said. "I feel like I'm getting there. I'm trying to get my legs up under me. I feel like any days off can set me back a little bit. We have two weeks left....I've been rushing my first couple games, Atlanta, especially in China....Playing fast, mind going 100 miles an hour, wanting to go out there, play hard and play with a lot of energy. I need to just relax, slow down and let the game come to me and just think the game out and not rush....If anything, I'm passing up shots...I'm looking to make the right play. When Coach calls the play, I'm looking to swing the ball instead of looking at the rim to attack or take the shot when I'm open. I'm looking to try to make the extra pass. I think I've got to get back to looking at the rim, attack first, move the ball second."
