Taj Gibson believes that the Chicago Bulls can be competitive without Derrick Rose this upcoming NBA season. Gibson is entering his 4th NBA season and is looking to play a larger role within the Bull offense "Contract year" has a career average of 8 ppg and 5 rpg.
"We still did good even when we didn’t have Derrick (last season),’ said Gibson ‘We beat the Heat without Derrick. Our mindset hasn’t changed. It’s about staying focused and taking one game at a time. We understand it’s going to be up and down at the beginning of the season. We can’t look forward to the end. We got to look forward to one game at a time and playing to our strengths and just listening to coach. I know it’s going to be a long season, but I’m really optimistic about what’s going to happen. Thibs already told me he wants my role to change, be more of a leader now....I worked out with him a lot during the summer. I worked out with him before the (Team) USA camp. He just wanted me to work out this whole year, build confidence and get better. He thinks I can do a lot more on and off the court. I’m ready to take that next step."
beat the heat yes, but they lost to sixers in playoffs. I like taj I think hes a good up coming player. but the bulls need rose if they want to have a chance
ReplyDeleteWe also lost Noah and lu was playing with a bum wrist. I say we make it in 6th or 7th at least ( maybe even 5th) in the playoffs then hopefully drose comes through just in time to win a championship :)
ReplyDeleteWith or without rose......no championship! Like really? You have 2 get passed the heat sixers celtics
ReplyDeleteBeing a hater and being a realist both have very thin line. D-Rose forces many people to choose a side and most choose hater only because is the undisputed #1 point guard in the league. His presence and leadership skills on top of his athleticism command defenses to collapse on him like any other superstar BUT the difference between any other team and my bulls is that with last years team when they collapse any other player on the squad can knock down the shot. Now this group knows the pressure that they have to play strong as long as possible without their team captain if they come on successful the city of Chicago wil give him the cold shoulder until D-Rose. I believe they can do it. Statistically speaking.
ReplyDeleteThey can't do it, Rose needs help to even have a chance..if the Bulls can make some trades, get rid of some overpaid contracts n wait for Rose to be 100%, n possibly persuade a player to come over or even get a good draft pick than maybe...but other than that, the Bulls will never, see a ring again
DeleteSorry bulls fans but yall aint winning shit with that roster...d rose or not. And thats real but u can take it how u want to
