Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are rejoicing worldwide of the late night trade "to be approved today by the league office" that will bring Dwight Howard to LA. Congratulations to all of those fans but I wonder how the new power team in the west are feeling. Should the OKC Thunder be worried about the Lakers acquisition or do you think they can repeat as Western Conference Champions? You know the drill, share your thoughts and enjoy the debate.
No need to worry. Lakers will be there and OKC won't! MIA does'nt need to worry either. LBJ got his 1 ring and now can sit his ass down and watch Kobe get NOT 6, NOT 7, NOT 8!!! LakeShow!!!

People keep talkin bout his shot selection will c that that wont happen no more. nash makes lakers better on o dwight makes them better on d. okc still good but they cant pack the paint no more against the lakers because of nash and dwight can shut the paint down by himself forcing okc 2 b a jump shooting team and we c that didnt get it done last year. i know lakers still cant stop russ and kd from getting theres but they wont b able 2 stop la this year either. Its going 2 come down 2 4th quarter execution and we all know lakers is the smarter team

All these guys do different things on the court and the only 1 who truely needs the ball n his hand is nash. D12 is a pure defensive player his offense is a bonus and he scored n orlando because they needed it. Hes been needing a closer and a top notch point, now he got it. Nash is a destributor that we have been needing and he finally get 2 play with another big n his prime. U c wat he did with amare. Kobe has been askin for that for years! pau dont even wanna shoot half the time hes soft but his laid back atitude and unselfishness will fit rite n. World peace may b crazy but he just wanna defend and win, jamison a true professional been losing his whole career he will fit rite n. Yea im a laker fan but im honest and i really dont c a problem here. I mean the fact that lakers was able 2 keep gasol just keeps the chemistry intact and everybody else will fall n place.

Dont call yourself a team fan if you don't stock with you team and you just follow players. I like certain players too but I'm not gonna switch teams because of them. ReplyDeleteA possibility for sure, they're old but if they can come together and play D, u never know. It'll be interesting but I still don't put them on top, not with OKC in the west. OKC was the western conf champs, have 3 olympians, and improved on their roster, and play with great chemistry.
DeleteOkc will kill them, they are younger and now they have deep playoffs experience, theyre getting better every year, dont rely on older nash and injured dwight, kobe is gonna b the xfactor, hes gonna have another 28 ppg career cause no one else is gonna carry that team, dwight didnt do it in orl when he was healthy let alone now that his back is suspect!

ReplyDeleteI'be been a Laker fan since Magic so of course I'm happy but I think two big egos on one team might cause problems. I also don't think Mike Brown is the right coach for such heavy artillery, big Phil (Phil Jackson) would have been perfect!
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's hard to have a big 3 that consists of players who are used to soaking up most of the spotlight solo (or sharing it with one other person at the least in the case of Kobe and Shaq).

ReplyDeleteTrue story, lebron brought that trophy home for those heat fans, with very clutch performances, if not they would have gone home. But lebron is a monster, and the.Celtics, yes are old, but every player at every position on that team plays great defense. Gasol and Nash aren't great defenders, neither are a lot of their bench players, each team is different, it will depend on how well they play, and what.system the can configure.

DeleteAI is a top grade olympian, all star, and defender. He was a very important piece for them gettin to and advancing in the playoffs. Rod thorn said he only agreed to the deal because, he got both an all star C, and suitable scoring replacement for AI. Which is in the best interest of the teams direction.

Someone already bluntly, and thankfully pointed out that the average age on the celtics squad is far higher than the Lakers. And look how far the celtics go with that crew. Ray Allen is not the best 3 pt shooter ever. He holds the record for most made. Try googleing who has the best career average. Lewis, used to be fan, henhe stopped trying. That is the worst a answer ever, who ever said that he is going to pretty much make you pay if you leave him open. Really!?! Preach had right for the most part. And who was the moron who posted up the entire lineups? Everyone needs to also stop acting like it's going to end with the help heat and the Lakers in the finals. That's a bit of wishful thinking. Lakers will advance further this year than last. Heat will not repeat. Bulls success will depend on when rose comes back. Spurs will more than likely make another deep run. OKC will do their same thing but exit early out of the playoffs. Clippers are another team to keep an eye on. So far has to be my favorite bench that's been assembled in a while. Nets should have an actual season where they win more than a dozen games. And pretty everyone else will fall into the same place if not worse than normal die to moves..... Obviously that means Orlando. I will go out on a limb and say that the Lakers will go further in this year's playoffs than the heat. Better overall team with higher I. Q. and depth.
