Shumpert speaks on return, state of Knicks

Iman Shumpert torn his ACL back in April during Game 1 of the Knicks playoff series with the Miami Heat and since that time he's been rehabbing and patiently waiting to return to the court. Shumpert shared his thoughts while speaking to newsday.
"I have a steady rehab and we mix it up," said Shumpert, "There's a little bit more I can do every day, but it's definitely not the same thing being on the court sweating. I can't wait until I get back....I think having a full training camp together and having a full year under our belt, I think that the guys will be closer together.....We have some new additions, some new pieces. I think we're all going to mix well."

He was seriously injured twice last year, idt hes gonna hold up, is sad cause he showed alot of promise and potential, but i think the knicks know hes an injured prone player thats why they already were trying to trade him this offseason.

True true. He was a beast when he was good though like you said its to bad for him. He will be good coming off the bench 10 pts 5 ast type.

This dude is great, he's a monster. It was his 1st year.he played in 60 games last year. That's not enough to say he injury prone. He's smart, shot the ball very well, and was selected to the dunk contest. Not to mention he was the knicks best defender, next to chandler. I'm not a fortune teller, but the skys the limit for this kid, extremely talented.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately I agree with cole on this 1. I dont remember him having 2 serious injuries last year just 1. And yes the boy can ball and when he comes back I think knicks should start him and makes sure hes guarding the opponents best player for atleast 26-28 minutes a nite.
