Russell Westbrook update

Team USA guard Russell Westbrook, left today's game in the 4th quarter due to an ankle sprain. The injury is classified as an high ankle sprain and his availability for Sunday's gold medal game is uncertain.
What?! Westbrook never injured on a nba game ! How can he be injured here and now?!

I dont know if him and kd gonna n there career on the same team and im not gonna reach and say I would take him over k.d. but I will say this...that boy is a killer! and i would take him over d rose anyday. Westbrook takes poor shots and treats his.body like trash diving at the basket, he won't last very long, and hes not a great a passer or scorer as rose, ppl 4 get bout rose cuz he was hurt. Man was rookie of the year and an MVP, got assists and buckets on way less attempts. SMH!!!

Say wat u want bout westbrook yea I know he has his flaws but he has yet 2 miss a nba game! D rose is the banging his body up COLE, the boy has had naggin injuries every since he came into the league and I like d rose but thats real talk. Look up how many games hes missed cole b4 u bring up injuries jackass! And true k.d. Like lebron there both very gifted, I know kd can roll out the bed and drop 40 but westbrook was the guy n the finals showing big heart. And not just for 1 game. He had great stats n his first finals against that same heat defense.

And I hate 2 say it about the boy d rose but the rose i REMEMBERED....he also forces up shots and he does not always make the right pass either. Plus ive seen him miss clutch free throws n key games, thats just sumthin westbrook dont do. I noticed that these past playoffs. Matter of fact westbrook deff the better 1 on 1 defender but i would say rondo over nash and mayb d will even tho he cant shoot. Thats just because we know wat rondo can do n big games but im not counting out d will. We just havent seen him n them situations yet.
DeleteGod it sounds like I'm hatin, but I would put rose, Paul, and d will, and Rondo above weatbrook, I like u puttin Irving up there, he's def a exciting player, gotta love him doing pops too. The question was best point guards, that's not just ur ability to drive, and mid range jumper. It's passing, defending, and leading your team, as well as shooting and driving. Rose Paul d will, and Rondo are better OVERALL. U don't have to agree, if u look at all their individual attributes, the other guys are better, OKC was even trying to trade him for Paul a while back. I like weatbrook and he is a good scorer on their fast paced team, but best PG, he's not.
DeleteBoth are great young talents, Rose by default had to be the go to guy on his team while Westbrook at this stage in career has never had that opportunity. Derrick Rose will not return until around the time of the ALL-Star game and to date Westbrook has never missed an NBA game. Here's something to keep in mind, Westbrook is playing out of position and he's doing a pretty damn good job of it and deserves credit for that. Use the Miami Heat as a measuring stick since they've faced both in the playoffs recently, the Heat never feared Rose but they feared Westbrook a great deal. I'd have to chose Westbrook, Rose will have too many question marks coming off of his ACL tear.

I like wes, and he's a very good scorer, but not best point guard, sorry baller commish, love the app and articles, but i gotta disagree. U can't base that kind of decision on an injury plagued year.
ReplyDeleteNo problem and thank you but Rose has benefited from being the guy on his team, if Westbrook had the same opportunity he could surpass the output of Rose. Even with a healthy Rose, I would chose Westbrook over Rose due to the fact that Rose can be shut down, I have yet to see another player shut Westbrook down.

DeleteIn 10' rose averaged 25 pts 7.7 as 4.5 rbds. And his numbers went up in the playoffs, In 11' brooks best year he had 23 pts, 5.4 ast 4.3 rbds. Way closer than I thought. Good debate, but considering they are both point guards and how many shots russ takes u can't say russ gets less opportunitys. I think weatbrook is great, but head.to head side by side. It's Rose, the mvp/rookie of the year talent he is. He has better averages in every category including shooting percentages and turnovers, even if he got less touches or whatever his percentageswould say he better. There both great and valuable, but rose is better. BTW do u think LA is the favorite to win now, or is miami/OKC still the prime?

DeleteThe Heat are the champs until someone knocks them out, but between the Lakers and OKC I will say that whomever has home court advantage, if the two were to meet in the playoffs, will win.
