After playing eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers all the while averaging 27 points and 11 rebounds per games, NBA great Shaquille O'Neal will have his number 34 retired by the franchise on April 2nd 2013.

Most dominant big man ever!!!! N not cuz he had any real offensive moves but.....well if u don't kno check his highlights.. could not b gaurded 1 on 1 until he was 37 lol. Only thing that stopped him was time n free throws!
ReplyDeleteYea they better. i never seen wilt play but i know russel gave him problems. Nobody could handle shaq when he was n a laker jersey, it was like a grown man against little kids. mutombo was the best defensive big man at that time and he just beat him down n the finals. He use to toss duncan and robinson around like they were dirty clothes, it was just embarrassing for defenders! The true superman...im glad to have d12 as a laker fan but like shaq said about him when shaq was a cav...superman my ass
DeleteU da man big homie
ReplyDeleteYou guys think when kobe retires they'll hang up #8 and #24? I know its sorta off subject sorry. But yeah shaq was the most dominant big man of all time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the guy that said shaq was only stoped by age, but not free throws, i know he was horrible at free throws but that didnt stop him from scoring at will, hes the 6th all time leading scorer, and thats not easy, if shaq at least shot 75 % from the line he would probably would of been the top scorer. We will never see another dominant big man like shaq, if shaq would of played against wilt shaq would dominate him too, shaq would score like 50 a game, remember back then there was no offensive fouls. To me shaq was the best center of all times

Yea i agree with all that. I wonder wat was the avg. Amount of free throw attemps he shot per season? But i got russel, karreem, and shaq n that order
DeleteAlot,! Im saying like 15 a game, and russel was a defensive maestro but wasnt so offensive, blocks werent recorder back then but he would of led the league in blocks too, alot of people are comparing dwight to him but idk, both can give u 20 rebs if u needed them, dwight is a better offensive player then russel, but russel has 11 rings, he was a winner the only thing i wonder if is if russel would of played in a league with so many teams we have present would he still got 11 rings! I think there were only like 11 or 12 teams back then...
