Kobe speaks on the Howard trade

While speaking to the media yesterday, Kobe Bryant seemed to be happy with the Lakers acquiring Dwight Howard and also the franchise being able to keep Pau Gasol.
“I’ll probably play two or three more years,” said Bryant, “Then the team is his. I’m excited for the Lakers franchise. Because this is a guy who can carry the franchise well after I’m gone. So it should be his. He should be willing to accept the challenge.”

bynum was drafted a laker and they couldve traded him for j. Kidd years ago or possibly melo 2 years ago. But no they kept him and groomed him up into a allstar center. They owned his rights just like orlando owned d12 rights so they couldve did wat they wanted with them despite there request. The good teams in NBA history have always gone out and aquired All-star talent by either trade or the free agent market. That's just how it is, its not just all of the sudden like that. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work, either way LA has a future center after the older guys retire. It's all going to depend on how the pieces fit and what system the use. I'm personally not a Mike brown fan, with Phil the woulda had a better chance to win. I'm not sold yet, but we will see. And to avoid any harsh or belligerent comments, I'm not hating on the Lakers.

They are not an unbeatable team now man, lol. The got better with all the pickups, but its still a team game. U never know how its going to pan out with injuries or shooting slumps or whatever, the thunder play great together, it took the role players on Miami to win those close games. And lebron gettin damn near a trip double every game. Dont underestimate the thunder KD a beast and the play great together. Every year they been together the get close to the title, this the 1st year for the Lakers to play together and dwight ain't going to be himself the 1st part of the season cuz of his back.
