Kevin Durant launches foundation

Saturday evening, Thunder forward Kevin Durant launched the Kevin Durant Family Foundation with the inaugural FD35 Ball which was part dinner, part auction. The Foundation was put in place to help children, families, and communities in need.
“Just being here for 4 1/2 years, I really just got acquainted with everybody here in the city and I want to make sure this relationship is going to be something that lasts for a while.....Being an NBA player, we can shine a bright light on everything,” Durant said. “So just giving back to the community is something that I really wanted to do.”
