Blake Griffin admits that he isn't the best defender

There's generally a problem when one appears on the scouting reports of other teams for not being a great defender. While on some nights Blake Griffin can captivate the crowd with his spectacular dunks, in order to be considered one of the greats of the game, he has to be just as strong on the defensive end of the court, which he admits is an area of opportunity.
"I don't think I'm as bad of a defender as some people try to peg me as," Griffin said. "But I know I have a lot of work to do," Griffin acknowledged. "The effort is there. I think our coaching staff knows the effort is there. I've got a lot of room to improve, like I've said....But at the same time, I don't think I'm as bad as people say.....People try to say I play zero defense, which I personally think is not true. For me, a lot times I'm the hardest critic on myself."
