Heat waive Brown

The Miami Heat have waived veteran G Shannon Brown.  The move allowed the franchise to sign Hassan Whiteside.  Brown, who was signed on August 27, appeared in five games with Miami this season and averaged 4.0 points and 17.8 minutes.
